The main event, appropriately called “Swim with the Shark,” will give inventors and entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their products to Mr. Harrington and his New Product Development team while receiving valuable feedback on their items. This first event will take place next month in Las Vegas, NV in conjunction with the Electronic Retailing Association’s D2C Convention, the leading direct response marketing industry-related tradeshow.
“Swim with the Shark” and other similar format As Seen On TV pitch events featuring Mr. Harrington will give inventors an additional avenue to refine their concepts and bring more products to the marketplace. These events will also allow As Seen On TV to further engage in the inventor space, continuing to build its category-leading invention platform while giving entrepreneurs the chance to learn from Mr. Harrington’s 30 years of expertise in the direct response industry.
Among other topics, Mr. Harrington will:
- Offer tips for navigating the treacherous entrepreneurial waters;
- Explain how to overcome fear and give an engaging presentation;
- Offer advice on facing business challenges; and
- Present sure-fire ways to pitch a product.
The first “Swim with the Shark” event will take place on Monday, September 23, 2013, starting at 2 p.m. PT in Las Vegas, NV. There will also be a private brunch event entitled “Meet with the Shark” available to only five inventors on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PT.
