Southern California Telephone & Energy (SCT&E) Gives Back

TEMECULA, CA and LAGUNA BEACH, CA, Dec 3, 2013 -  "Giving back" during Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season, Southern California Telephone & Energy (SCT&E) wants those who are struggling to have a great meal with their loved ones. The company donates turkeys and canned goods annually to those who need it the most. SCT&E works with Temecula Valley People Helping People (TVPHP), located near the SCT&E corporate office in Temecula, California, to identify people that need help.

The giving back tradition is a long-time commitment by the executives at Southern California Telephone & Energy. Owner and CEO, Greg Michaels, continues once again this holiday season with the company's immensely popular program where both customers and families in need will mutually benefit. Denny Mighell, Chairman of TVPHP commented, "Indeed, consistency has been the key as Mr. Michaels and SCT&E have been faithfully giving back through lean as well as plentiful years. Having caring and consistent donors is what keeps the program going."

Southern California Telephone & Energy has made it easy for everyone to help with this tradition. Existing SCT&E customers who refer friends, family, and business contacts to the company get a full turkey donated in their name to a family in need plus a twenty dollar credit on their bill. Additionally, if a customer wishes to donate a gift card of $5 or more, five non-perishable items, or an unwrapped toy, SCT&E will add additional credits to the customer's bill. Greg Michaels states, "We encourage everyone to give." In addition to the turkeys given in the name of SCT&E customers, the company also donates an undisclosed amount of money and turkeys to help fill the void.

Canned goods, non-perishable items, books and toys are donated to Temecula Valley People Helping People who distributes to families or individuals in need. Last year the program helped over 10,000 children, families and seniors. Because of the community support from residents and local businesses like SCT&E, the program is able to reach its goal of helping as many people as possible.
